Kristi is one of the interior designers associated with Rite-Loom, and we are so thrilled to have her expertise and know-how on our team.
To help you get to know her better, we thought we’d share a brief Q&A about her background, style and latest projects.
Rite-Loom: Hi Kristi! What have you been working on lately?
Kristi: My latest project was really special and for a great cause. I was one of 12 designers chosen to “create a seat” for the Art of Design sponsored by Luxe Magazine to benefit The Illumination Foundation (an organization that is dedicated to helping homeless families with children in Orange County) and together with my colleagues we raised more than $100,000!
Rite-Loom: That’s really cool! What else are you working on right now?
Kristi: Right now I’m working on a lot of integrated homes. This is when a home is integrated with your smart devices to create exactly what you want – for instance, bedroom shades can be programmed to rise at a certain time of day, lighting and home theater or audio are all controlled thru smart home options, or you can set the air from the road. More than anything, it’s making your home work for you. There is so much new, great technology available to clients today, I want to be sure I make the most of the opportunities to utilize these systems where applicable.
Rite-Loom: What’s your background?
Kristi: I grew up in Orange County, and have spent 25 years in the interior design and home building industry. I love creating beautiful, functional space that incorporates personal touches, timeless style, and innovative finishes. I have a strong attention to detail and am good at communicating with clients, architects and contractors to create a smooth, seamless process and a stunning end result. I’ve gotten the opportunity to work on many high-end, unique projects including the St. Regis Hotel Monarch Beach, as well as luxury communities such as Mulholland Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, Cielo in Rancho Santa Fe, and Covenant Hills.
Rite-Loom: What’s your design style?
Kristi: Really, my style is versatile. One of the wonderful things about being an interior designer is helping to bring a client’s vision to life, and no two homes are the same. I enjoy seeing the ideas they have and helping them come true in a way that is practical, beautiful and functional for their life. Whether you have a perfect vision or need a little guidance, I can help!
Rite-Loom: What do you like to do when you’re not designing?
Kristi: I love spending time with my husband and our two active boys! My older son is a golfer, and my other boy is into music and acting, so there is a lot going on all of the time. Since I’m passionate about home design and decor, I also enjoy sharing my home by entertaining family and friends.
Rite-Loom: Why have you chosen to work with us instead of a different supplier for your floors, counters, cabinets and other design elements?
Kristi: You guys are the best! You are supportive of creativity, dependable, you offer a good value and you have integrity and do good work. My clients are happy when I use Rite-Loom and I am so lucky to have a great partnership with you.
Thank you for the kind words and great expertise, Kristi! We’re honored to have you as part of our team. If you have questions about hiring Kristi for your design job, or if you just want to learn more about the many ways we work with interior designers, give our design center a call at 800-490-5693
