In 1934, Rite-Loom opened as a flooring sales and installation company in Montebello, California. It all started as a simple warehouse and installation company, selling flooring and rugs to movie business executives, oil field families and citrus growers in the Los Angeles area. After 20 years of business, in the 1950’s, the post-war business boomed when wall-to-wall carpeting became a very popular in-home luxury. At the same time, Hollywood continued to grow into the entertainment capital of the world, and many entertainment professionals sought out the quality, service and selection of Rite-Loom floors.
In 1966, Rite-Loom gained notoriety as the go-to flooring company for high-profile jobs in Los Angeles, when we floored the entire iconic Capital Records building.
Rite-Loom continued to grow as a luxury brand, installing carpets with hand-sewn seams in homes and businesses around Southern California. Movie stars and celebrities loved the luxurious feeling and high quality of Rite-Loom’s products and services, making us the essential home renovator for Hollywood’s elite.
In 1995, Rite-Loom moved to our current location in north Orange County, but maintained the values of old-fashioned Hollywood – style, quality and an unforgettable experience are essential to our company values.
